I was going down Memory Lane this afternoon with a co-worker and just for giggles looked up Super Socco and there you were are you really coming back? I haven’t drank a thirst quenching drink since you went off the market. I will not drink the other ones. It’s been a long time please let me know when you are back on the market.

That time I dressed up like a box of Super Socco

You know when your childhood friends remind you of details of your life that you may have forgotten? My friend Duane recently reminded me that I once dressed up like a box of Super Socco... and after a bit of digging (thanks Mom!) I've got some photographic evidence. So here I am, ready to go for Halloween '85, complete with a giant "straw" covering my head. In hindsight, that was possibly my best (and definitely my favourite) costume ever.

Super Socco and Soccer

Date: August 19, 2022 Written by: Donna N From: Chino, CA, Southern California

I was just reminiscing with my 11 and 15-year-old sons and husband about the grapefruity flavor of Super Socco that we’d always get at halftime at our soccer games with our quartered oranges. The best memories. Gotta love the 70’s, early 80’s. I fondly remember this before I ever remember drinking Gatorade. Then I decided to do an internet search and lo and behold you’re actually gonna bring it back to us! Bring it to the US so I can get my hands on some and try the Gin and Juice version now that I’m old enough. Haha

The perfect mix

Back in the late 80's my neighbor taught me the perfect gin and juice with a half pint of gin poured into a quart bottle of Super Socco after pouring out just enough for the half pint to fit, it was absolutely delicious. I remember it being a yellowish color though, so I'm not sure if it was another flavor other than the original. It would be awesome if it came back.

Tonight, I’m 46 and telling my 10 yr old what our school lunch treats were back when I was in elementary school … pb & j (before allergies and he says “that was a treat??”) and I still vividly remember Super Socco, the ball on the juice box even … juice boxes in our family was not an everyday thing, most definitely a treat! Had to Google to show my son and much to my surprise here you are!

White caps

Date: March 2, 2022 Written by: Sheila Mickey From: Nanaimo, 51

When I was in grade school (grade 3?) Super Socco had a jingle promo on, to write a jingle about white caps, so that was our class project. "White caps, wWhite caps, wWhite caps is our name. Soccer is our game" all I can remember. So we got Super Socco to drink while trying to come up with song. That was at sir John Alexander Mckenzie school in Vancouver.
